Behind each piece

Soledad is not strictly governed by trends or fashion times.

Her creations are born from a dialogue with nature, which inspires her and sets the rhythms for her.

Soledad Oliver is a textile designer, a graduate of the former Industrial Design Center (CDI), now the University School of Design Center.

During his training, various areas sparked his interest: screen printing, pattern making, working with textures and, especially, textiles.

Her thesis project focused on macrame, a technique she applied to the design of luminaires capable of generating light and shadow effects through weaving.

To create it, he reused discarded computer cables, opting for a sustainable design approach and making clear his commitment to caring for the environment.

She currently lives in La Barra, a small coastal resort in Uruguay, surrounded by forest and sea. There, she takes advantage of the local resources to walk on the beach, knit, and create—activities she now defines as her way of life.
